Fix Error Code 0xC004F074

This error code 0xC004F074 related to activation of Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. After Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 installation process complete, user are trying to activate windows but some of user have faced error code 0xC004F074 during activation process.

Error: 0xC004F074 The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. No Key Management Service(KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.

 

Fix Error Code 0xC004F074

 Method 1:

1. Press Window button  and type cmd on search. Run cmd (command prompt) as Administrator Rights.
2. Type slmgr.vbs – ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx (Replace “x” with your 25 digit product key)
3. Press Enter
4. Type slmgr.vbs -ato
5. Press Enter Again.

 

Metho 2:

1. Start -> Run  -> Type Slui3  (Info: If you want to activation though phone use Slui4 instead of Slui3)
2. Enter Product Key
3. Click Activate Button
