Connection failed with error 651 is generally appear in windows pc. This error comes due to many reason so there is no any single solution or method to fix this error but we tried to give some step which will worked for many people. There are many windows user who get faced by this error code 651 while working online. This error appear when try to establish internet connection using a broadband connection as dial-up connection.

As i already told you have this error comes due to to many reason so i give you some method if one method won’t work then try another method to fix connection failed with error 651 problem.

Method 1: Reinstall the LAN Drivers
Many time LAN driver corrupted which create this type of error. so download updated LAN driver from website(depends upto motherboard do you have) and reinstall it.
Method 2: Creating New Dial Up Connection
Sometime dial-up connection might get hanged and it will not work properly so, create new dial-up connection
Goto Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change adapter settings(left side) -> Right click on existing dial-up connection and click Create Copy. Now delete your old dial-up connection and redial with the new connection.
Method 3: Disable IPv6
Still many ISP provide only IPv4 so if your connection have active IPv6 function create this error so we need to disable IPv6 on your connection.
Goto Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change adapter settings(left side) -> Right click on Local area connection -> Properties -> Untick/Uncheck Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6) -> Click OK.
Method 4: Uninstall Modem driver
This is the most common problem when user install modem drive for connection. Simply reinstall your modem will solve your problem but this solution only for user who use modem driver.
Even after all method tried and still you are facing error 651 in your computer then you need to contact your ISP and they will solve your problem because sometime this error comes due to connection problem on ISP cable.
